The board is busy planning another great year.  We’re starting with a “Happy Hour” during the NCLA Conference in Hickory!  The happy hour will be at Carrabba’s restaurant from 5:00 to 7:00 on Wednesday, October 5th.  Please plan to come, have a good time, and greet friends and fellow alums!  I hope to see you there.

Among other events in the works are get-togethers at local eateries throughout the state.   And of course, there will be the annual Alumni Luncheon on Saturday, March 30, 2012, in the Virginia Dare Room of the UNCG Alumni House.   Stay tuned to this space, and our Facebook page,  for more information on all these events!

In the meantime, don’t forget to add yourself to the Alumni Updates on this blog, if you haven’t already, or if there are any changes in your life…new job, promotion, marriage, a new baby, anything. This is great way to let your fellow classmates and alums know what’s happening with you.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me; my email is In the meantime, stay tuned…there’s more to come.

Randall Bowman, ’97
