Looking for LGBTQ Students, Alums, & Staff for Oral Histories

There is a collaborative effort underway  to produce a small documentary on the history of LGBTQ students on UNCG’s campus. The documentary is being created by a student under the direction of Michael Frierson in Media Studies. As part of this initiative, we are searching for people willing to be filmed providing oral histories of their experiences as LGBTQ students and staff. We are especially interested in interviewing people from the 1960s-1980s. There is a deadline for the completion of this project, but if we cannot fit you in to the schedule, please keep in mind we would like to continue chronicling student history after this production.
Presently, the planned first date for filming these oral histories is 9:00-12:00 on October 3rd. If you are interested in participating, please contact:
